As a man in my community, I used to believe that FGM was a part of our tradition. However, after engaging with the organization and learning about its harmful effects on women and girls, I realized the importance of standing up against this practice. Being at the frontline has not only changed my perspective, but it has also allowed me to encourage other men to break the silence and stand with women in the fight against FGM and GBV. Empowering women means empowering our entire community.
